Default Windows 10????

I've no sooner started using Windows 8.1 (Classic shell so it looks like Windows
7) and I'm getting nagged to reserve my free copy of Windows 10. Yea or nay?
What are your thoughts on Windows 10? Thanks.

My thoughts: Stop spamming your choice of anti-virus software. Either
configure it to NOT append its fake spam signature (there is no valid
signature delimiter line: dash dash space newline) in its e-mail shield
or remove its e-mail shield since it is superfluous (same on-demand
scanner used to interrogate your e-mail traffic is the same on-demand
scanner used to detect you creating a file to save the message or when
extracting an attachment). Besides, it makes you look foolish trying to
make others believe your post is virus free just because you say so.
The X-headers are okay but the fake (invalid) signature means their spam
is in the body of your post, so your post becomes their spam.

I also use Avast. See, no spammy fake sig on my posts.

Why not, it's free and you do NOT have to install it. Read all the
info carefully.

Okay, I think I found the box to uncheck to stop the spam Avast advertisement.
If it shows up here, I didn't fix it and I'll keep looking.

Well, it's like 8.1 .

There is an entire group dedicated to Windows 10,
and you might get some comments on the Preview
from that group.

And you can remove and hide KB3035583. That's
the update that adds GWX.exe and friends.

Strange, but I can't find this Windows-10 group on my provider.

You need to "refresh" the newsgroup list.

The alt.* hierarchy doesn't have a working "control message"
system. Instead, users contact the administrator of their
USENET server and have groups added. It's probably
there, but was created a year ago or so, and if you "refresh"
the newsgroup list, it will show up.
