Default Adding and Removing Programs

I was clearing room in my hard drive by Removing programs
with Windows XP, and I noticed a lot of programs
titled "Windows XP Hotfix". I just wanted to know if I
could remove these or not, because when I choose to
remove them they say that they will remove it and restore
my computer to the previous configurations. I was
wondering how to resolve this "problem". Thank you.

Matt, the Hotfixes in Add/Remove Programs are your Windows Updates. Don't
uninstall them. You can alternatively
uninstall or delete the $NtUninstall folders in C:\Windows if you choose
to keep the updates which is the norm.
