Default Possible DSL Modem problem, or what?

Hi All,
This started happening a few months ago. I have a DSL modem with direct
ports and wireless. My main computer, and a few others are direct
connected. My laptop and android phone are wireless. It started when I
tried to use Airdroid, an android phone app, to transfer files from the
phone to my main computer. The modem and/or the computer network hangs.
I either have to restart the computer, or the modem or both. Even
transferring a file from the wireless laptop to the main computer will
cause this network lockup problem. I was thinking that it might be the
DSL wireless modem as it seems to be the common thread. BTW, I have
transferred files between 2 wired computers, and there seems to be no
problems. Any ideas of what might be happening?

Here is how I see it:

If you had to restart your computer to get things working again, then
I'd of course think the problem was there. Same logic if you said you
had to restart the modem.

However you said you need to restart either one or the other...or both...

The one thing in common therefore is the application itself.

(That said ...sure the problem could still be with the modem.)

See if Android has an update for the software...or if not possibly ask
tech support.

Why would anyone ask for help and advice *here*, on Usenet, when they
have access to a MUCH safer environment? Viz-a-viz .....

unparalleled one-on-one (and sometimes many-on-one) tech support advice
available anywhere on the Net. No other place exists in cyberspace that

knowledge that flows from this group — at least not for free!

Whether you're experiencing a moment of "how do I find?," reformatting a
hard drive or building a complete super-charged system, User2User will
undoubtedly hook you into the technical world and make you keep coming
back for more. In contrast to many other tech help groups that allow no
HTML, no fun, no frills and no frolicking, User2User provides a friendly
and open environment where no question is too large or too small. Not
only do the members lend individualized assistance and support, they'll
remind you that "life's too short to sweat the small stuff," most likely
helping you find a smile or two along the way!

Whether you're a beginner or an expert, this group provides informative
topics of discussions, great resources and bargains on the net, but best
of all, they provide solutions for almost any computer-related issue in
their own friendly and unique way.

Oh, isn't he the M$ shill on alt.comp.os.windows-10 promoting
the "'Big Brother Is Watching You' is good for you and me" agenda?
By now, it's obvious to everyone who's been paying attention that
the recent "terrorist" (who knows, false flag, C.I.A.-trained
commandos?) attack in Paris did help to divert public attention
away from the fact that spy networks around the world have been
spying on each other and also on everyone within their own spy
apparatus for many decades -- it simply got a lot easier and more
efficient to spy on everyone in the world, rich, poor, free, bond,
with the global digital surveillance network in place today, and
it's getting more totalitarian with each passing day.

Obvious to me. "Arab passports were found near the bodies" is
the codename for "inside job" in CIA jargon.

The above post makes me sad in that near 130 people were shot, and
another about 200 people were wounded. Yet the above person is so tied
up in his conspiracy theories he over looks the fact that Muslim have
been engaged in terrorist activities since the religion was started over
a thousand years ago. The US has been fighting the Muslims since around
1800. Remember the "Halls of Montazuma to the shores of Tripoli."

For the Conspiracy theorist who are trying to warp history Tripoli
refers to Libya
