Default Really Bad advice

-----Original Message-----
Online crash analysis suggested a "better" NVIDIA

display
adapter driver "Windows XP/2000 Version: 53.03
Release Date: December 9, 2003 WHQL Certified "
for my dell Latitude C840 because of a failure.

Since I updated after a problem that occured once, my
computer is crashing multiple times a day by resetting
the display to 640x480 with only a few colors and

telling
me Windows had a serious problem.

They are trying to be too smart and it is not working.
The improvement that was recommended is alot worse.

Any ideas?
Peter
