Default Is it possible to have to proccessers?

I bought a used laptop off eBay of course and it stated 3GHZ. On the
computer information it says 1.6 GHZ then the line were it states the
ram it reads 1.5 GHZ followed by amount of ram inside the computer.
Does that mean I have to proccessers or an addon?

It would help if you provided the model of the laptop, but you likely have a
single processor. If you have power management set to something other than
desktop, the CPU speed may be adjusted lower for better batter life.

IMB Thinkpad T43.

According to this, the T43 uses a Pentium M.

http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=2285

More info here.

http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Category:T43

The Pentium M processors are single core.

http://processorfinder.intel.com/Lis...942&SearchKey=

The Pentium M 750 is 1.86Ghz core, with the FSB being FSB533 speed.
There are other, slower processors in that family. For example,
the Pentium M 730 runs at 1.6GHz. A copy of CPUZ should be
able to verify the processor installed in the computer.

There aren't any Pentium M processors at 3GHz.

Neither. It means that your 1.6ghz machine is running at 1.5ghz.

There are no 3 GHz laptops on eBay.
There are many 1.3 GHz laptops, although none are IBM T43's.
Few IBM T43's that are visible are 1.86 MHz, one of them is 2.0 MHz.
So, there must be a mistake somewhere, and no one other than yourself can
find an explanation.

Good luck (in your next purchase),
Engin

The T43 isn't available in 3Ghz as others have said, if it was advertised as
such you got taken.
