Lost jump lists on the Start menu with Anniversary Update
I've installed the Anniversary Update, and found that I have an issue:
The Start menu "Most used" programs have no arrow to click to get to a jump list. Once they've been launched, or pinned, the taskbar icons have jump lists that work fine, but I have no access to jump lists from the Start menu. Anyone else have this problem? It appears to affect all my user accounts. -- Zag No one ever said on their deathbed, 'Gee, I wish I had spent more time alone with my computer.' ~Dan(i) Bunten |

It appears to affect all my user accounts. Solved my own problem: The arrows are gone. The preferred way to access jump lists off the Start menu is now to right click on the app, and the jump list will show up. This also works for any app on the menu, not just the "most used" apps. I like that last feature, but it seems these upgrades are getting into change for the sake of change. I'd rather keep my muscle memory with the UI. I wish there was a LTS track so I could limit the changes to once every three years instead of every year. Yes, I know I can turn off feature upgrades in Update (I have a Pro version). -- Zag No one ever said on their deathbed, 'Gee, I wish I had spent more time alone with my computer.' ~Dan(i) Bunten |
