Default video won't play to end

I have a bunch of dvds i made from old home movies. I am capturing
snapshots to use in my scrapbook. I am having problems with one particular
dvd in that it plays almost to the end then stops. It is the part at the end
that i need (of course). i can play it on other computers without a problem.
I am running windows xp and using intervideo windvd version 4.0. Any
suggestions?

It sounds like you may have a drive hardware problem.
This is iffy because some drives allow more overrun than others, or the
drive head might not match alignment with the drive that recorded the DVD.
Either may or may not indicate a bad drive, but can show a marginal one.

The best way to resolve is to take a drive that reads the DVD properly in
another computer, and install it in the one giving you a problem. The
problem may or may not follow the problematic drive. If it does, the drive
is the problem.
