XP NOTIFICATION Area MISSING
The Notification Area of the taskbar on XP-PRO is not Displayed
======================================== During a clean install of XP-PRO, a user account with administrator privledges required to "back-up" The Administrator" account was created. When logged in to this "user account" the notification area is missing from the taskbar; it does not display. In the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" window "Notification area" is greyed out. Consequently, there is no opportunity to Hide/Display icons or Customize the Notification Area IF one logs in to "The Administrator" account, the taskbar notification area with appropriate icons displays as would be expected. I expect I buggered up the registry somehow, but where I have no idea where to look. Even if it is a registry error, I have no way to know what value-name and values would be appropriate. Help to fix this problem will be very appreciated. thank you |

XP NOTIFICATION Area MISSING
Why not just delete and recreate the account?
