xls, ppt etc) ? I want to force windows to print with standard font on all
applications.

To do this, you would have to change or overide the font in each individual
document that has a different font selected. Since the document was
formatted using a specific font(s) and size(s) there is no telling what
might happen. That aside, I believe that this can be done on an application
by application basis, using scripts or macros, whichever is appropriate for
the application. Some applications will not allow this to be done.
A last really cruddy and really old way was to use an ascii capable printer,
and an ascii printer driver. (Usually caused more trouble than it was
worth.)
There are other methods/work arounds, each with it's set of problems.
One other last resort is to copy text to the clipboard, then placing it in
notepad. Then copy into a blank document with the formatting settings as you
chose.
