HELP!!!
Windows XP can help you lock down a user from installing programs, but your
best bet for blocking web sites is to buy a 3rd-party solution. Windows XP (and Internet Explorer) do not currently have robust (or even useable) parental controls. The ones within Internet Explorer currently are barely use able and do not block anything except sites that use a very rare method of broadcasting their adult nature. So, look online for filtering software or make a trip to BestBuy. Or, wait for Windows Vista in 2007, which *promises* (they say) to include very good Parental Controls. If Micro$oft promises anything, like WinVista to be "virus free", it's probably not gonna be kept. |
