Default HELP!!!

I just installed WindowsXP on my computer, that already
had WindowsME. It finished, but now none of my programs
and in the program menu, and also all my desktop icons
are gone.
How do i get my old settings back, and all my shortcuts
and programs back??
Thanks

Tommy if you did a clean install to a new location then you will have to
reinstall all you apps under Windows XP.
If you did an UPGRADE then you should still have the applications on the
Start menu etc.
Which one did you do ?
