Default Need to partition preloaded hard drive

Just bought new computer with preloaded software. I want to partition drive and reinstall software using Recovery CD since that's all I have to work with. XP would only allow me to create 1 partition and limited it's size to 7 Gb. Is there any way I can pa
rtition into multiple drives the sizes I want, with or without reformatting and if I do reformat can I use the recovery CD to reload the software onto a smaller C: drive? Any suggestions to accomplish this would be appreciated.

Hi,

You need third-party partitioning software.

BootIT NG www.terabyteunlimited.com
Partition Magic www.powerquest.com/partitionmagic
Partition Commander http://www.v-com.com/product/pc_ind.html
Ranish Partition Manager http://www.ranish.com/part/

I've used Partition Magic (v8) and it works very well under XP.

Nice interface and easy to use.

Recommended.
