An idiot with no business sense might wonder, but the Chinese mfgs have
honed their mfgs skills to a fine point. They can ramp up a new line
ready to go quicker than anybody for a price no one else can match.

There's a lot of low cost junk coming from China. But only a moron (take
a
bow JED and wRonG) would be ignorant enough to think that everything that
comes from China is "the same" and that different levels of quality don't
exist.

Here's an example where wRonG is stupid enough to think that a $1.99 USB
charger is the same as the USB charger that Apple ships with their
phones.

They do the same thing, but only one of them will fall apart in your
hands after a while and it's not the know bought at the Apple store.

It's more than just falling apart. Here's an analysis from Ken Shirriff
who's an engineer at Google. It's the design, safety and quality components
inside instead of just "make it as cheap" as you can crap.

Only a moron like a wRonG or JED think that everything is the same inside...
because it's not.

JEDIDUMBASS and wRonG strike me as the type of idiots who figure "all
women are the same inside" and use that as an excuse to date or marry
the ugliest female creature they can find. Something like Jayne Ahlstrom.

Apple iPhone charger teardown: quality in a tiny expensive package

Disassembling Apple's diminutive inch-cube iPhone charger reveals a
technologically advanced flyback switching power supply that goes beyond the
typical charger. It simply takes AC input (anything between 100 and 240
volts) and produce 5 watts of smooth 5 volt power, but the circuit to do
this is surprisingly complex and innovative.

* Conclusions *
Apple's iPhone charger crams a lot of technology into a small space. Apple
went to extra effort to provide higher quality and safety than other
name-brand chargers, but this quality comes at a high cost.

If you're interested in power supplies, please take a look at my other
articles: tiny, cheap, dangerous: Inside a (fake) iPhone charger, where I
disassemble a $2.79 iPhone charger and discover that it violates many safety
rules; don't buy one of these.

http://www.righto.com/2012/05/apple-...n-quality.html

Mind you, I didn't find the Apple cable to be particularly great when I
had the iPhone 3G. Of course, I kept pulling on it so it was just a
matter of time before it broke.

Haters gonna hate. Linux haters gonna hate more -- it's some kind of
Linux derangement syndrome.

In "Slimer" (A.M., or whatever)'s case, he treats people like absolute
sh*t, then expects them to help him. He also had an issue with Linux
where he a) tried to get help in an advocacy group _via complaint_, and
b) failed to take any reasonable advice. It's almost as if the guy
_wanted_ to fail -- which is a common troll in an advocacy group.

The specifics aren't important, but if you are interested: he complained
of video problems on games (that is, full-screen apps) while using compiz
with nouveau. No idea why he insisted on doing this with compiz without
disabling the compositing for full-screen apps, and no idea why he didn't
use the Nvidia-provided drivers.

At least, that's what I _think_ the story was. I didn't have a lot of
patience for the rapidly-shifting story, full of vitriol and invective.
And I'm not sure, but I think this is the same guy that thinks running
Shadow of Mordor at over 60fps on Linux is somehow unplayable.

If you don't
like it don't use it. Then **** off. You're a fly in the ointment.

He's taken it upon himself to be as nasty and disgusting a troll as
possible, including an unhealthy obsession with people "eating out of
toilets". He also likes to play a hot/cold game, such as recently when
he said he was going to be "more Christian" and stop denigrating people
-- which lasted maybe three hours.

He also claimed he was leaving COLA "for good", and that if anybody
wanted to find him (ch'yeah'right), to look in acow-10. I think that
lasted all of 12 hours.

After taking the gentleman to task for his many sins, he invited me to
plonk him. So, that's where he lives -- at the very bottom of my Score
file, -1000, with what may be his alter-ego.

I could go on, but I've already spent more time cataloging the guy's
shortcomings than I should have. I will close with this: there is great
irony in that his go-to response for people having trouble with Windows
is "you aren't competent enough to run your own computer", yet he never
will accept responsibility for his own failures with Linux.

Wow... look at that long list of insults as you avoid speaking of
technology.

For the paranoid Linux losers who believe that Microsoft is

Microsoft isn't a hardware company.

It's just Slimer, yet again shilling for his beloved Microsoft in a
most embarrasing manner.

MS is both a hardware and a software company.

Amazing how Chris Ahlstrom, who got turned on by the sight of a USB
dongle on a Microsoft Surface tablet, already forgot that his dick got
erect from Microsoft _hardware_ . These people are simply unable to
prevent exposing themselves as fools on a daily basis.

Jesus ****ing christ, get a life you idjit. It was ****ing satire.
Jeez, humor just isn't any fun when you have to explain the joke to
the stupid people in the room.

Says a Linux advocate, part of the gang who considers me calling Linux
"a beer brewed by pre-teens in an old, soiled toilet" to be a lie and
not a joke.

Actually, it's really creepy. Do you actually know anything about
the history of Unix and Linux?

Probably more than you.

You would have trouble identifying any linux or unix when you look on a
screen. You have no "experience" besides tormenting your poor windows
install. You are the guy who is responsible for the truism that "windows
makes you stupid". It did in your case

Says frau Koldtard.
