Too bad you are lying *again*, Slime.

No one, that I saw, called the above silliness a "lie". We are more
reasonable than that. Peter said only "Well done, Snit Slimeball."

Actually, it's really creepy. Do you actually know anything about
the history of Unix and Linux? Why do you hate so much.

These trolling creeps would lie about the day of the week.

Oh, that's class replying 3rd party. You lame liar.

Haters gonna hate. Linux haters gonna hate more -- it's some kind of
Linux derangement syndrome.

In "Slimer" (A.M., or whatever)'s case, he treats people like absolute
sh*t, then expects them to help him. He also had an issue with Linux
where he a) tried to get help in an advocacy group _via complaint_, and
b) failed to take any reasonable advice. It's almost as if the guy
_wanted_ to fail -- which is a common troll in an advocacy group.

The specifics aren't important, but if you are interested: he complained
of video problems on games (that is, full-screen apps) while using compiz
with nouveau. No idea why he insisted on doing this with compiz without
disabling the compositing for full-screen apps, and no idea why he didn't
use the Nvidia-provided drivers.

At least, that's what I _think_ the story was. I didn't have a lot of
patience for the rapidly-shifting story, full of vitriol and invective.
And I'm not sure, but I think this is the same guy that thinks running
Shadow of Mordor at over 60fps on Linux is somehow unplayable.

If you don't
like it don't use it. Then **** off. You're a fly in the ointment.

He's taken it upon himself to be as nasty and disgusting a troll as
possible, including an unhealthy obsession with people "eating out of
toilets". He also likes to play a hot/cold game, such as recently when
he said he was going to be "more Christian" and stop denigrating people
-- which lasted maybe three hours.

He also claimed he was leaving COLA "for good", and that if anybody
wanted to find him (ch'yeah'right), to look in acow-10. I think that
lasted all of 12 hours.

After taking the gentleman to task for his many sins, he invited me to
plonk him. So, that's where he lives -- at the very bottom of my Score
file, -1000, with what may be his alter-ego.

I could go on, but I've already spent more time cataloging the guy's
shortcomings than I should have. I will close with this: there is great
irony in that his go-to response for people having trouble with Windows
is "you aren't competent enough to run your own computer", yet he never
will accept responsibility for his own failures with Linux.

Odd then the hypocrisy of you windows haters, eh?

Yes, I'm sure that you guys calling everyone a liar had nothing to do
with my decision to hate the operating system entirely.

I came in and was very cordial only to be called a sock and a liar on
day one. If you know of anyone who is willing to put up with such
garbage, let me know fat ass.

The specifics aren't important, but if you are interested: he complained
of video problems on games (that is, full-screen apps) while using compiz
with nouveau.

LIES. I made it very clear that I was using the GTX 660 Ti with NVIDIA's
proprietary drivers. Here you are, you bloated jack ass, once again
misrepresenting the truth to make your hippo ass look good.

No idea why he insisted on doing this with compiz without
disabling the compositing for full-screen apps, and no idea why he didn't
use the Nvidia-provided drivers.

Compiz was only enabled in Ubuntu when using Unity. In that situation, I
was using the proprietary drivers despite your lie. Everyone is welcome
to check out my posts last year, in July 2014, to see whether vallor is
telling the truth or not. Besides, I migrated to Ubuntu-GNOME soon
thereafter because I figured that Compiz was the issue and I knew that
GNOME used Mutter instead. Even with Mutter, the problem remained.

My posts from that period back me up, Bastion Booger and will expose you
as the lying sack of **** you are.

LIE AGAIN. My posts a few weeks ago (and re-posted this week) was an
article from Phoronix demonstrating how Shadow of Mordor will run at
60FPS at 1080p on even the most modest hardware in Windows whereas Linux
requires an NVIDIA GTX 980 or Titan to get the same results. It was a
demonstration that despite 7's lies, Linux 3D performance is a fraction
of Windows, not multiple times better. Here it is again for your lying
ass:
https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=mordor-win10-linux&num=2

And a quote for your pleasu "For being a native Linux game port from
a reputable company (Feral Interactive Games), the performance of
Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor sadly isn't what I expected when testing
on the NVIDIA graphics driver... The Windows 10 performance of this game
tended to be twice as fast or higher; the peak frame-rates on Linux
tended to be at or just lower than the average frame-rate on Windows.
These graphs show there being some sort of bottleneck on Linux affecting
the GTX 780 Ti / GTX 980 Ti / GTX TITAN X performance."

If you don't
like it don't use it. Then **** off. You're a fly in the ointment.

He's taken it upon himself to be as nasty and disgusting a troll as

I have just exposed you as a liar when it comes to Shadow of Mordor and
you've just encouraged me to go back to July last year and see what I
posted about my Ubuntu-GNOME experience with gaming. Here's one article
I posted AFTER you Linux losers called me a troll and a liar for my
claims. It comes complete with a bunch of other URLs of people facing
the same issues as me, NVIDIA proprietary drivers and all. Everyone is
welcome to decide for themselves how much I lied or not.

The worst part is that vallor has exposed himself as being no better

I'd like to see where I've ever indicated that I hated Windows. Since it
is well-known that I dual-boot to Win7, I don't think you have a leg to
stand on.

However, I certainly wouldn't mind detailing my experiences with
upgrading to Win10, then "downgrading" back to Win7.

A fast summary: Win10 had too much about it that wasn't transparent, nor
did (does) it allow me to disable some of its most noxious behaviors.

Also notice neither he nor any of the herd will say if they find this video

claimed based on his own incompetence or use of a lousy Linux system.

None will touch it.

They just pull a quote out of context where I note Peter's twisting and
blaming of me is really an admission on his part of finding viewing YouTube
videos to be too technologically challenging for him.

Amazing.

(Clearly, "S*it" has no clue what constitutes an "insult". But no matter,
he's not even worth addressing. What I find highly amusing is this

The worst part is that vallor has exposed himself as being no better
than the other Linux losers here and probably a much worse liar than all
of them.

Well, actually, no -- everything I said is either true, or my opinion.

He's completely manipulated my story about the screen tearing
problems to make me sound like an incompetent idiot.

No manipulation was necessary for you to sound like that -- we only need
read about your "beer in the toilet" missives, and other assorted
nastiness, to understand where you are coming from.

ANYTHING not to
admit that Linux was at fault.

Sure. Just like Linux was "at fault" for not handling your wireless on
your laptop out of the box.

Except, you just admitted it didn't work on Windows either, did it?

So why do you hold Linux to a different standard than Windows? A
rhetorical question, of course: it's because you are blinded by
incredible cognitive biases. (Anyone viewing your posting history as
"A.M" or "Silver Slimer" can see this for themselves.)

Regarding your (in)famous "screen-tearing" issue, iirc, the common thread
was that very double-standard that you held -- because it was pointed out
to you that the same issues had been observed in Windows. Since you
wouldn't accept any explanations whatsoever, people (rightly) labeled you
as a troll WHICH YOU LATER ADMITTED. Or to put this analytically: how
can we differentiate between you and someone who set themselves up for
failure?

Face it: your hate has biased you against not only a set of software
that runs on a computer, but people who run it. You are not only a hater
of Linux (for no reason by your own obvious incompetence), but a hater of
people who choose to run a different operating system. This is
irrational behavior.

(I'm not surprised, either, that you are no stranger to hate -- you seem
to be in nodding agreement with the racists and bullies that infest COLA.)

I won't be reading Jabba the vallor's posts either from now.
I'm disgusted by the type of liars Linux attracts.

Oh sure. You run around telling people that Linux users (which would
include myself, of course) drink toilet water, and you engage in horrible
libels against people you claim to be child molesters, etc., etc, ad
nauseum... but yeah, *you're* the victim.

Just as you're the victim for posting a link to the image of a former
student as some kind of "conquest" that we can only hope the best for.
Hard to differentiate between that and some kind of greasy usenet
stalker, right?

Occam's razor just isn't kind to you, is it?

(But don't worry -- he's not going to read this, because it only
_appears_ he's some kind of stalker. I've got him figured all wrong,
it's all just circumstantial!)

Again, followup set to a.u.k, where this kook should certainly be
dissected by the experts. I hereby nominate him for KOTM.

I don't care what you did, I'm talking about you quoting me out of
context, which also included:

No idea why he insisted on doing this with compiz without disabling the
compositing for full-screen apps, and no idea why he didn't use the
Nvidia-provided drivers.

Still doesn't matter what you have to say, because you're still quoting
me out of context, which also included:

At least, that's what I _think_ the story was.

...which is the context in which I wrote my post.

So if it weren't already obvious, we can see the self-described "wintroll"
at work -- quote people out of context, then scream "LIAR!". (Rather
pedestrian, but some people fall for it.)

Now, one might say that it was rather naughty of me to place my caveat
_after_ the text -- but since the gentleman in question has already
proven to onlookers many times over that he is a scorpion, it's only fair
that he be hoist by his own uncharitable petards.

(a.u.k added, I've nominated the slimy one for KOTM.)

I'd like to see where I've ever indicated that I hated Windows. Since it
is well-known that I dual-boot to Win7, I don't think you have a leg to
stand on.

No one is fooled by the "it's hypocrisy to be a FOSS advocate and
still use closed-source software" assholery.

Both open-source and closed-source software have their place in the
market, and most people need to use some of each.
