New phones were also announced but this article is about the Surface Pro
4 and Surface Book which, honestly, look like a winners.

Microsoft is slowely but surely moving away from the software business
and entering the hardware industry. Software is very much saturated and
less profitable while hardware is likely to be the next big thing.
People always need new gadgets as their income improves. Don't you
think so?

Nothing to do with Windows 10, the subject of THIS newsgroup. Post in
an appropriate hardware newsgroup, or better yet into a *.test
newsgroup.

Hardware is only profitable if it stands out. If what the company is
making looks and acts like the competition, profit margins are razor
thin. Since there's no true competitor to the Surface Pro, Microsoft can
have greater profit margins.

In the area of software, selling proprietary solutions is getting harder
as there are decent free software alternatives available. The fact that
they're decent but not great is fine since most people don't need the
high-end solution of say Microsoft Office to the modest need of writing
standard texts.

Posting about machines that run Windows 10 is "nothing to do with
Windows 10"? Before you try to talk down to someone, at least
understand what is being discussed, so that you don't look like a
complete idiot.

You used "income" and "improves" in the same sentence.
What's your secret?
