Hey Charles,

If your computer is running slow, its most likely to be not enough memory,
not a fast enough cpu or a virus. You don't need to go tuning stuff.

What is your current hardware configuration?

In task manager, when the system is slow, how much cpu is being utilized,
which processes are using it?

Check on the memory in the taskmanager/performance screen, what are the
values of the 3 numbers shown under commit charge?

Do you have anti virus software installed? If not, start with symantecs free
online scan,

Free Anti virus software www.grisoft.com
Free Firewall www.zonelabs.com
