Default computer turning itself on and off

-----Original Message-----
my computer constantly turns itself on and off. In the
middle of either typiing, or online it will suddenly

shut
down and may not come back on by either the reboot or
on/off switch. I often have to turn it on and off from
the back and keep pressing the on/off button until it
reboots. it then sometimes says checking Fat 32. i

have
had a new motherboard installed, formatted the c drive
and reput xp back on but still it does it. i thought
maybe it was the monitor as that seems to switch off
first but this has been replaced too. i really would be
grateful for any advise from anyone as to how to fix the
problem
thanks
.
could be your system is simply over heating or that you

have to much stuff running in the back ground. if over
heating get a new fan or secondary fan, or try clicking
on RUN and typing in lower case, msconfig then go to the
last option which should be startup. uncheck the things
you don't need. all this ,means is you will need to go
and click the programs you want to use in stead of
selecting them from the task bar. or again get more memory
