Default Effect button stopped working

For some reason the effect button in the display
properties box, appearence tab (right click desktop,
properties, appearence) has stopped working after
installing WindowBlinds.
I uninstalled it and the effect button still doesn't work.
What do i do to get it back - do I REALLY have to
reinstall windows?

Hi,

This can be corrected by running the first edit. If more than the effects
button was disabled and/or missing, run the rest of them.
