Finally Microsoft Edge allows you to save "as" a file when downloading!

get Microsoft Edge to simply do what *every* other browser already does. Apparently running this REG file fixes the problem. Now a download *asks* me where I want to put it (which is what every other browser can do and should be able to do)! ================= cut here =================== Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 ; Created by: Shawn Brink ; Created on: April 2nd 2016 ; Tutorial: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4...dows-10-a.html [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Classes\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion \AppContainer\Storage\microsoft.microsoftedge_8wek yb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdge\Download] "EnableSavePrompt"=dword:00000001 ================= cut here =================== [Aside: What is so very wrong with Microsoft that they didn't give us this from the beginning? What goes on in their minds that this wasn't an option when it's something every other browser has and billions of people want?] |
