A0035472.RDB where?
I noticed in defragmenting that a lot of time is spent on files like
A0035472.RDB What is such a file likely to be? A search doesn't turn up the name. The machine uses Firefox and IE both, in case it's one of theirs. -- Ron Hardin On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |

System Restore data bases (*.RDB) can be cleaned up, except the last one. Go
to start/run, type: cleanmgr You will see the option on the second tab. Doing the rest of the Cleanup Manager stuff will help a defrag. I also compact my messages in OE. -- Mark L. Adding to Mark good advice, beside it is a System Restore Data Base Point, it could be a temp or log file for Zone alarm or Orcale application if you have such a thing. Since you are performing a Defrag, it means your system is slow or Disk space is less. Try to go through these cleaning steps and delete the Old Restore Point, that older than Two weeks and leave the most recent one. Here is a guide on System Restore read then apply: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/pro.../faqsrwxp.mspx Bug busting: Getting Rid of Spywa By Sandi Hardmeier, MVP http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/...ugbusting.mspx 1... First, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies by doing this: Click Start Control Panel Double click Network and Internet Connections Double click Internet Options. And also for malware from he http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-...e_personal.php http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D Run Disk cleanUp then try to defrag in Safe Mode, it always recommended to Run Disk CleanUp before Defrag. http://www.oracle.com/technology/pro...rdb/index.html File Extension .RDB Details http://filext.com/file-extension/RDB Package org.eclipse.wst.rdb.internal.models.dbdefinition.u til http://forums.zonealarm.com/zonelabs...ssage.id=33538 HTH. nass ----- www.nasstec.co.uk |
