Default Trying again, see January 25, 2004 post "Audio & Video won't work in version 5.0"

No reply so far to my post of 1/25/04 so I'm trying again. What services
are required for Messenger to function? I'm trying to narrow down the
troubleshooting process to get Messenger to send and receive audio and
video. My friend and I are not able to connect other than using the chat
feature. When I try to send him A/V, my internet connection is dropped and
I have to reset my DSL modem to get the net back up again. His DSL
connection stays online. I can send him a file but he can't send me one.

I figured I would start with the Windows XP Services to see if there was
something disabled that shouldn't be. Any help is appreciated.
