Default e-mail problem

Ever since I updated my computer accordingly for the worm
problem, I haven't been able to open attachments from my
Outlook Express E-mail. Any ideas why? It states
that"OE has removed access to the following unsafe
attachments in your mail" That's what it states when
friends send me pics from websites. I also can't open
typed attachments either. Please help!
