Active X problem & SP2
My PC with SP2 refuses to allow the HP site to download and install an
active-ex script to check and see if I need updated software. HOW THE $&*&^%$ bloody hell do I shut that damn thing off? I need this done. Do I have to uninstall SP2 yet again to allow the HP site to install the script? How do I get rid of these Sp2 pain in the ass security problems? My PC is a HP w/W-XP Home/SP2 . I'm the Owner Administrator of the PC and the only user. TIA FS~ |

did you hold th eleft control key when selecting the link or did you click
in the top yellow alert area to allow the active x? -- Manny Borges MCSE NT4-2003 (+ Security) MCT, Certified Cheese Master The pen is mightier than the sword, and considerably easier to write with. -- Marty Feldman "~ FreeSpirit ~" wrote in message ... "Manny Borges" wrote in message ... did you hold th eleft control key when selecting the link or did you click in the top yellow alert area to allow the active x? ===================== I did what the SP2 thing said and clicked on "allow active X" and that doesn't work. How do I get rid of this warning Bar and stop it from stopping these things from happening? There was no MS SP2 window telling me to hold down left-control-key.
