Thanks Paul for trying to understand and answer.

The rest are probably liberal twits. See I can also try to shame you.

You assumed way to much and let you feeble brains create non-asked
questions. You read way too much into what I posted.

I never said MY PC had not been researched, did I ?
In fact my PC comes with a tool from the motherboard mfr that allows me
to scan my PC for driver updates.
I was simply asking if anyone had experience with the DriverTurbo tool.
And no one knows so why not just leave it at that !

I posted in Win 7 group because most of those there probably had or have
Win XP PCs and might have relevant experience. Note the word relevant.

The Win XP group has little activity.

You all, except Paul, jump to conclusions like all the liberals I know
and twist the words of others and make uninformed statements.

You are the ones who are ranting and picking up the clubs to beat on me.
Shame.

We may or may not know that particular tool, but several of us have had
experiences with "let us scan your system to see if it needs new
drivers" tools that are less than good. (For a start, "needs" is
arguable.)

Which one? microsoft.public.windowsxp.general has IMO sufficient
activity (and is of course more relevant for XP matters).

I'm not. (I also don't use "liberal" as an insult. I've noticed a
tendency to do that - often by prefixing it with "bleeding heart". It
really just means open-minded.)

You are the ones who are ranting and picking up the clubs to beat on me.
Shame.

What I care about, is results.

Now, back to work.

No, Driver Installers are a bad idea, unless you've
completely run out of other solutions. I don't need to
review the particular one you've located, because
the business model on these are all the same. They exaggerate
everything. And feed you bull****. And that's no good
to me.

For example, if you have a Chinese webcam, and the Chinese
site with the driver on it, is actually infected, well,
you've run out of options. Then, you might try a driver
installer program and see what it can find. And hope
it's not infected too (the download). The camera in
question, was non-UVC type, so the OS couldn't
use a generic driver.

Because insulting the people you have asked to help you is _such_ an
effective strategy!

He changes it every time he posts (nymshifting is a classic troll
tactic). Fortunately easy to killfile.

Just wouldn't want you wasting effort on someone that won't appreciate
it.
