Default blocking Windows Messenger?

-----Original Message-----
Is there some way of keeping Windows Messenger {not MSN

messenger} from automatically signing me on when I get
online? I have checked the settings and so forth, and it
wouldn't seem that it should be still signing me on. I've
even removed access to it, through the control panel, and
still it comes up - when I sign on to MSN Messenger, it
tells me that it's signing out of Windows Messenger -
that's how I know it's signing me in
automatically.......I'm out of ideas.
.
Click on (open Windows Messenger). If you get an error

message indicating program cannot be opened and given the
options of retry or cancel. Click on retry. If Windows
Messenger opens successfully, Click on Tools then Options
then Accounts. Select the Communications Service radio
buttion instead of .Net Passport button and uncheck the
checked box, enter any sign in name and click okay. Good
Luck
