Default IE7 question

I use my own version of a home page which is nothing more than a collection
of URLs. It was created with a text editor and contains absolutely no
scripts of Active-X modules. Yet everytime I go to my home page while
running the new (non-beta) IE7 it complains about either or both scripts and
/ or Active-X and says it has prevented this page from causing trouble.

QUESTION: One of the options is to turn off the script / Active-X feature,
but does turning it off apply system-wide or just to the current page?

Thanks for any help.
