Default Problem copying from folders to SD card Via USB

Using Windows Pro SP2 I had in the past copied music and photo files by
dragging and dropping whole folders to my 1Gig SD card connected via a card
reader/writer to the USB port. Now I get an error message. "Cannot copy xxxxx
.. Path too deep". I have looked hard for a place to correct this and found
nothing. Now sinking!

I think there's a limit of about 144 characters including directory (folder)
name AND file namr you wish to copy. Move your file(s) to copy up some
levels and try again.

Thanks for your very prompt reply, I have tried your suggestion, I can copy
single files and a folder with about 10 files anything bigger than that and
I get the same error message. On my laptop I seem to be able to transfer much
bigger and deeper folders.
