How many times?
I have tried to update my tablet. Knowing that there was a storage
space problem I uninstalled all user programs from the C: drive and had 17.1 GB free. I have tried to install 1803 at least three time, from the OS upgrade page, and they all failed. I it from the MS Upgrade assistant and it failed. Here are some of the error codes windows 10 1803 failure to install 0xc1900101 windows 10 failed install attempt 1803 0x800704c7 windows 10 failed install attempt 1803 0x80240034 windows 10 failed install attempt 1803 (2) 0x80240034 update assistant feature update windows 10 failed install attempt 1803 I can find nothing to cause any errors The download goes to completion. The last install went to the first reboot and failed. and said it was reinstalling the old Version I believe it was in the 70% complete but not sure. The last revert there was an error code I had never seen before, but it disappeared before I could write it down. My question is how many failures has to occur befor MS gives up and says it can not install the update on a computer. After each revert to the old OS the update says it is downloading 1803, so left to it own devices it would continue to loop; download, install, fail, revert, redownload. -- 2018: The year we learn to play the great game of Euchre |

If it is a 64 bit version then you need at least 20GB to install the OS (it is 16GB for 32 bit version) and you also need the same amount for backup of the old version. Personally, I wouldn't bother to waste time on that toy because you can't do anything useful on it. You either need to do a clean install or insert a new HD with at least 500GB space.Â* I am assuming your device can take 500GB HD. You also need to make sure you have at least 4GB ram.Â* The processor also needs to be a decent quality speed. Microsoft's minimum spec is a complete joke so just ignore it. /--- This email has been checked for viruses by Windows Defender software. //https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/comprehensive-security/ -- With over 600 million devices now running Windows 10, customer satisfaction is higher than any previous version of windows. You might want to look at this article. https://www.windowscentral.com/windo...lems-and-fixes They had a ton of error codes and how to fixes. The only complaint I see is that a lot of the "if it doesn't work" suggestions are to download the iso and totally reload. |

My tablet is happy with 1709. And (contrary to what GG says) it is extremely useful. I know yours is too from previous conversations. They run a condensed version of Windows. And mine is now saying that it's up to date, which seems to imply that it doesn't want or need 1803. I'd be happy to have stayed with a much earlier Win10 version. The tablet is a kind of portable set of language aids, dictionaries & the like. With the addition of web-browser, email etc. I never use it for things like video-editing or such. Do you really want 1803? You could try two things; 1. Clear 20 GB of memory. 2. Try plugging a portable HD or thumb-drive in. Ed |

Depends on what I want to do of course but I agree, most of the time My 10" Acer elcheapo (US$129) tablet is quite useful. They run a condensed version of Windows. And mine is now saying that it's up to date, which seems to imply that it doesn't want or need 1803. My tablet reports build 16299.431. It too says it is up to date and was last checked earlier this morning. It is likely because of the Atom processor that MS no longer supports. It still gets security updates though. I never use it for things like video-editing or such. My cable company, besides the physical cable, also streams my channels online. My tablet handles the video fine. Certainly very handy for not missing any content during a potty break... |

Well, this isn't quite that, but works in much the same way, though on a limited number of texts. And we have Middle Liddell as well as LSJ. Fantastic! |

He's now PhD professor at Durham University, and writing Diogenes got him there, together with donating it to the world for free. It can do myriads of things that the others can't. 1. It has full dictionaries for Latin & Greek, and they're linked together so that if you click on a Greek word in the Latin side it takes you to it. 2. Get hold of a couple of TLG databases for ancient texts, and you can find anything in them. Who wrote this, who wrote that? 3. Full parsing of syntax & grammar. 4. Searches for word usage, word parts, words together. και τα λοιπά I'd be lost without it. And yes, I do know about the Perseus Project online from Tufts University; which is very good. Ed |

If yours are uppercase, rename them (there are tools that can help with this). in other words, he is too lazy to convert everything internally to lower case and leave the files as they are and/or do a case-insensitive comparison. any software that forces users to rename their files just in order for it to work is by definition, crap. it's also an insult to users. as i said, he doesn't give a ****. |
