Default I didn't know what sycronize newsgroup did and I

clicked it on this newsgroup and now I can't download any more headers. I
can't go back prior to 12/30. When I look at this newsgroup it looks like
it's all in light type while other newsgroups are in bold print. Help!

Are you sure you clicked Synchronize and not Catch-Up? What you describe
sounds like Catch-Up.

Are you sure you didn't use Catch-up? That gives the result you've
described.
But anyway, just delete the subscription to this newsgroup and subscribe to
it again.
You should be back to 'normal' then.
