Default New windows whilst searching the internet

I currently have Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2. When recently I
have noticed that when I click to create a new window whilst browsing the
internet, the system overwrites the window I had previously opened. In short
I cannot create a new additional window whilst browsing. Does anyone have any
idea how to resolve this?

If you are talking about the fact that: While browsing in Internet Explorer,
and trying to open a NEW Internet Explorer window, the running window gets
refreshed to the homepage, and a new window doesn't appear. If so, then
simply minimize the open window, and launch the new Internet Explorer page.
If not, then please post back, as I didn't fully understand the question.

Right click status bar / task bar-task bar tab- uncheck group similar taskbar
buttons.

Hi,
From IE Tools Internet Options Advanced Browsing uncheck "Reuse windows
for launching shortcuts."

And... you may have a toolbar or program running which is blocking
pop-up windows- something like Yahoo Companion, Google toolbar, MSN toolbar,
etc.
Yahoo Companion is a very common cause.

You'll have to turn off the feature that's blocking new windows or, perhaps,
uninstall the program.

With some programs of this type, using Ctrl+click or Shift+click will allow
a new window.

If you're sure that another program isn't causing this, these links should
help.

I asked similar question probably in wrong group. I want to have multiple
applications on screen concurrently. IE look at video while working with
another application like Outlook or Word. When I open a new application, the
previous one is minimized. What am I doing wrong?
