Setup file won't run
I downloaded the setup file for Teamviewer 12 from teamviewer.com.
AVG thinks it's a virus and removes it. No problem on my wife's computer; she uses BitDefender. I disabled every part of AVG I could find, and downloaded the file again. Then I tried "Open as administrator". I get the UAC prompt but then the installation just quits. What could be going on? Again, no problem installing on my wife's computer. Thanks. |

You can define an SRP to stop it. Are you at work, or at home ? https://community.spiceworks.com/top...in-the-network A malware could define an SRP too, if it wanted to block tools used to remove malware. But you don't mention any symptoms where it appears AVG is broken. Since the blocking is name-based, that limits the reasons it can be blocked. If you renamed it, and AVG had a false positive, it would still be blocked. AVG wouldn't let it get by, with nothing more than a name change. Paul |
