Default Problem with sleep mode

Hi all,
When I upgraded from 8.1 to Windows 10 I've been having a problem with
getting the computer to go into sleep mode. I can put it into sleep
mode manuallyby clicking on start, power and choosing sleep mode and
both it and the monitor will go to sleep. It worked just fine and 8.1.

When I try to set sleep mode up in Power Options for a given number of
minutes after being idle it will shut the monitor down but not the
desktop PC.

Windows 10 (build 10240)
Install Language: English (United States)
System Locale: English (United States)
Installed: 8/6/2015 6:33:33 AM
Boot Mode: Legacy BIOS in UEFI (Secure Boot not
supported

Check the advanced power settings of the plan. There is a chance that
something within those settings are counteracting the normal process.

Right-click start and open an Administrator "Command Prompt" window.

cd /d %userprofile%\downloads
powercfg -energy

The output is in your Downloads folder

energy-report.html

Mine has a fair number of bogus (unimportant) items in it, but
examining that might show a glaring error right away.

"In earlier Windows versions, drivers sometimes prevented Windows
from entering or reliably resuming from a power-saving state. This
problem has been solved in Windows Vista. Applications can disable
sleep idle timers when needed such as when burning discs or recording
media. Away mode, which is not a power plan by itself but a feature,
automatically turns off displays, video rendering and sound but keeps
the computer working when the user is away from the computer.
Optionally, it can also switch to sleep mode. Power settings
are also configurable through Group Policy [GPEDIT on Pro]"

It's possible some software you have installed,
is using this capability. The V/7/8/10 family shares
many design features, which is why I quoted from
a Vista article, in response to a Win10 question.

I couldn't find anything that would be doing this according to Google
this seems to be an ongoing problem with Windows 10 unfortunately no
fixes yet.

That's okay I'll just put it to sleep manually until something comes
up for I stumble across a fix, but thank you

First off I appreciate your time to help but unfortunately all this
below is way above my head :-(. As far as Vista I've never had it on
this computer I went from Windows XP to Windows 8. I sometimes feel
like there's something running in the background that will not allow
the sleep state??? But I can't find it.

But I thank you
