WMmaker 2 does not responding

Camcorder Sony DCR-PC100E DV
Connected via IEEE 1394
PC HP pavillon xe 4228
OS Windows XP home
The camcorder is recognised by the WMM2 but on the second
step of the wizard the movie maker stops to respond
Can somebody to help me???
