The date and time was 2/5/2008 11:24 AM, and on a whim, franktee pounded
out on the keyboard:

Thanks in advance for remedy in subject matter

Add ons to what? Windows? Browser? Program?

More detailed info is better, not worse.

Sorry, but I'm really not sure of what info I need to supply. Also, thanks
for the compliment. Your name suits you.

Thanks for your response Terry, My grandson was playing cartoon network, etc.

What is going on is that everyone who offers advice here is a volunteer and
does not want to waste time guessing at what you are dealing with. Here is
an article that should help:

That still isn't much to go by. You could start by opening the Control
Panel, Add Remove Programs and see if what you're looking for is there
and remove it.

If it's something else, more details are needed.

Again, without more information, see if the "add-ons" you are speaking of
appear in the "Add/Remove Programs" applet in Control Panel. If so, they
may be un-installed from there.

Your post was about as useless as your telling your doctor: it hurts.

That's rubbish. Why is it that people who complain about having their time
wasted can always find time to complain about people who waste their time?

Uncle Grumpy somehow found the time to abuse a novice user. Time is never an
issue, it seems, when a "volunteer" volunteers to type an insult.

IE version?

= IE-specific newsgroup:

====================

Unexplained computer behavior may be caused by deceptive software
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/827315

Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log
to an appropriate forum.

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

What may have come from there? I can't speak for others, but my crystal
ball is away for a software upgrade.

If you really want help with your problem, you need to give us a few clues.
For example.

What have you added on?

What have you added it on to?

What happens when you add it on?

What did you expect to happen?
