Default Explorer question. Win7 SP1

Often I have to swap thumbnail images from one
folder to another in Windows Explorer, and is
there any way to have two or more screens of
thumbnails open at the same time so that images
may be sorted as required?

Try:
Folder Options Open each folder in its own window.

Press the Windows key/E twice. That should open two Explorer windows.

In the navigation pane, right click on the target folder and select

Right.

Or open one, then Shift-click its box in the taskbar to open a second
copy. That works with any program, not just Explorer.

Or right-click on a directory and click on "Open in new window". Very
convenient.

I do have a complaint about that, however. The choice is sometimes the
second in the pop-up menu, sometimes maybe 15th, and otherwise anywhere
in between (and probably beyond). You're never sure where to look...
