In all probability, it's your ISP that's disconnecting you, not your computer. You need to increase or disable the 'idle' feature in Internet Options and for your modem. Right click the IE icon on the desktop , select 'properties' then connectionssettings advanced. Don't forget to 'apply' and 'ok'. Also check startcontrol panelphone and modem optionsmodemsadvancedchange default preferences. Again. don't forget to 'apply'.
