sending email attached photos

Are you not able to Compress them to a suitable size from
within your Camera Software - then Save to My Pictures or
wherever - then Insert Picture into your e-mail Message ?

Your Software may be different but - EG - Right click on
the Photo - Send by e-mail - then you have an Option to
Compress and then Options to Send(by e-mail) or Save to
Disk

When I chose the foto a message comes on screen

However,I send an email attached foto to the family plus
a copy (cc) to myself to verify the result.
The fotos received are massive, full screen.
How do I set the program so that fotos received are of an
acceptable size, say around 7 x 5 inches.
