Verifying username and password in a vpn
when I try to connect from one xp pro machine through a linksys router on
both sides to another xp pro machine I get through the "connecting message" right away then comes the "verifying username and password" which sits till it times out how? Do I get it to authenticate |

I assume you are using pptp so make sure that pptp pass through [GRE] is
enabled on the Linksys router and if it has SPI enabled try disabling that also. On my old Linksys I had a similar problem if SPI was enabled and I think Linksys abandoned SPI on that model in future firmware upgrades.
