Default Problems solved but now a query...

I have been having both network and admin problems on a Dell Dimension 4500
running XP home and somehow managed to cure it by comparing what I thought
were relevant registry settings with a computer that was working correctly -
however, I am not actually certain what I did. In addition, I now find that
when I run "net user username" for three out of four of the user accounts on
the machine they show the password as being "not required" when in fact it is
required (& requested) when logging on to XP at the workstation. Can anyone
tell me whether this is an important issue that I should fix or is it a
question of if it seems to work the way I want it to, ignore these anomalies?

If I should fix it, how do I go about doing so?

Russell.

If you want to require passwords you could use net user command as described
in the link below to manage that setting for the user. --- Steve
