No Kaspersky in Windows 10?
So far there seems to be no Kaspersky. It's there in control panel
programs and features and can be removed but other than that it gone. Is this just the start of what's in store from now on? |

I run Seti at Home and the taskbar has a very thin icon and a small dot in the notification area. If you have a dark color taskbar, no program icons like. Ken1943 I looked in the menu of programs that's listed alphabetically and there's no "K". I had it show on task bar in W7 but it's not there now. I visit the Kapersky forum where they are crying for an update. I called a supposed support number and got some imposter dude that wanted me to let him access my system and "fix" everything after asking me my phone number(gave him a disposable number), asked my my email addy(gave him a disposable address), my zip code, (lied) and wanted me to click on the link. Bye bye....... Kaspersky seems to have disappeared from the start menu. When I search nothing comes up yet it's installed and is seen in the programs folder. I'll have to learn more about installing another app before I decide to try it. Thanks. |

Not sure if it was from someone like you that had a bad experience or from someone with honest good advice. I did it anyway, it was the simple way out. |

What I see is how to install the app but I'm trying to find what already has been installed. Not happening. I did try to install from My Kaspersky but the app won't run reporting I don't have rights. I tried run as Administrator but it pointed to a file in the Kaspersky folder. I navigated there and tried again but it does seem to be blocking me from accessing it. I can't even rename it. I looked for the file shown on the link you provided but that isn't anywhere. I have an install backup disk sent to me but now Windows 10 doesn't even see my DVD drive. I tried to access the Windows drive and it asks me to put something in but it sees nothing. I can see it in BIOS but no where in Windows. It seems the harder I look for a fix the deeper in crap I get. The search goes on. |

It tried the "other" icons. No help. Ken1943 I'm still trying to get accustom to navigating in Windows 10. Why they changed everything is beyond me. Just when I get used to win7 and have no problems they, yet again, screw with stuff. |

I've been working on so many things at the same time my head is starting to bulge. I think I installed it from the download folder of another system on my LAN. Sometimes access to other computers is denied. I've been up all night diddling with this and that. My diddle is getting a sore on it. |

Besides, people _can_ rely on the built-in protection of Windows 10 as well. Its anti-virus probably isn't the best but it is good enough until third-parties update their software for the latest version of Windows. -- A.M |
