Drive Description

Is there a way without changing the share name of a drive to add a
description or comment that will show up in the "Comments" field of Windows
Explorer. When I share these drives on our network I would like people to be
able to see what they are, but I cannot change the share name it's self.

This group is specific to answering basic questions about XP. Have you tried
posting your question in the network group? You will then have access to
more people with specific networking backgrounds to help you out.

In the properties for the drive, look at the Sharing tab. I see a comment
there but I don't know how it is used. For me it says "Default share" but
the field appears to be modifiable.
