Default Windows Messenger 5 beta questions

The main question I have, is we are on XP, will this beta replace Windows
Messenger 4.7 or will we end up having to have 2 messengers running?

Greetings,

Yes and No -- it will replace Windows Messenger 4.7, but MSN Messenger 5 (and future MSN
Messenger) versions will run separately.

Is the beta available anywhere for download. I didn't
even know they were working on it. Version 4.7 keeps
logging me off and showing me as online and so does MSN
Messenger. Neither of them work properly.
