Default Custom Status in Messenger

Is it possible to easily create a custom Status for
Messenger? Something users could do. Would like to have
them indicate their location on occassion.

Default Custom Status in Messenger

Greetings Doug,

Unfortunately no, you're limited to the 7 status options that are in Messenger. However, you
can always just add an away message to your display name -- just open the main Messenger
window, click the Tools menu, then Options, and add your message to your display name. For
example, if your current display name was:
Doug
change it to:
Doug (in Building 2)
then you can set yourself as Away, so on your contacts' lists, they'll see:
Doug (in Building 2) (Away)
