Media Creation Tool pulls 10586 "Technical Preview" ?
Good day.
Well, it's been a while since MS allowed us to download W10 10586 then removed it then put it back (did they?) So today I head over to: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/softw...load/windows10 Download the MCT: Version 10586, good. Run it, download W10, mount it then run DISM: WTF: Technical Preview? Anyone know if this is the real W10 release or if it's only really the technical preview? I don't have a VM to install this and see. Why would the MCT download the TP? DISM /Get-WimInfo /WimFile:S:\sources\install.esd /index:1 Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool Version: 6.3.9600.17029 Details for image : S:\sources\install.esd Index : 1 Name : Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview Description : Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview Size : 13,905,900,578 bytes WIM Bootable : No Architecture : x64 Hal : undefined Version : 10.0.10586 ServicePack Build : 0 ServicePack Level : 0 Edition : Professional Installation : Client ProductType : WinNT ProductSuite : Terminal Server System Root : WINDOWS Directories : 19312 Files : 98317 Created : 2015-10-30 - 04:27:01 Modified : 2015-12-05 - 20:36:05 Languages : en-US (Default) Best Regards, -- ! _\|/_ Sylvain / !
