How To Make a CD that plays in Home DVD Player?
Hi George; I went through the same frustrations as you -
as the last reply mentions, most DVD players will play VCD. I got great reviews for my player at http://www.dvdrhelp.com/dvdplayers.php Suggest you search for your player - that site also gives some great hints. BTW, Windows movie maker 2 gives you the files you need but will not burn a VCD, for that you need some third party S/W - I'm still on my 30 day free eval of Nero and will probably buy it - check out www.nero.com -----Original Message----- you need a DVD player that supports CDR/CDRW, most usually do, but some can be quite fussy, some will play CDR but not CDRW, some vice versa... but you also need to encode a standardized CD, meaning if you want to burn a video, it needs to be MPEG burned as a VCD -----Original Message----- Hi All. I have made slide shows and video clips that play fine on computers but I can't seem to get a CD to play on a home CD/DVD player. Does any one know were I can get instructions on how to make a CD that any one can view? I did a search and wound up on web sites selling DVD recorders. Any help is appreciated. -- George-NY . . |
