Has that link been deliberately infected with malware?

*Can you be sure*?

Think about it! He's an American using a British website host. The owner
of that website is now the employee of Malwarebytes who is responsible

Any ideas as to why the long-established MVP Hosts file wasn't satisfactory?

Things don't seem to be going so well for you huh? Desperate for
people not to visit that url and see for themselves that what I've
written about you the entire time, is ALL TRUE, eh? Do you really
think you can keep hiding the fact you're a stalker? You threatened
to blackmail me with a facebook page, then a blog. You appear to have
settled on the blog, but, the contents are mostly, made up garbage.
It's clear the 'blog' is nothing more than a site setup for
'revenge' purposes by you, because after dealing with you, and
putting up with multiple doxing efforts by you, I was able to
determine who you really are and where you actually do reside; and
I've elected to share that information for anyone else who's had the
misfortune of being harassed and/or stalked by you. You're no longer
an anonymous person who's able to hit and run.

You're no longer

Dearest Dustin

It is *YOU* who is no longer anonymous and able to hit and run. :-D

I have never _really_ tried to hide! ;-)

THIS, btw, is ALL correct information:
https://vxer.home.blog/2018/12/08/vxer-a-profile/

It is true that you were employed by Malwarebtes in the early days; that
is why your name is printed for all to see on the product logo - around
2008.

Now HERE's a post that shows your real colours, Dustin (Diesel)

http://al.howardknight.net/msgid.cgi?ID=154477704700

Here's a thread some folk might like to read - it'a all about
Malwarebytes on an Apple machine!

https://discussions.apple.com/thread...6645022&page=1

And HERE is a post I made to Marcin! 12/10/2014

Hi Marcin :-)

You may, or may not, be aware that I have been a long-term antagonist
of Mr Dustin J Cook from Kingsport, Tennessee. I've even kept a piccie
of when his name was 'up in lights' on your early MBAM product -
https://www.dropbox.com/s/v8qhlhj5f7...copy.tiff?dl=0

I have no idea of WHY you 'let him go' (although I would LIKE to
know!) but I thought you might be interested to review the recent
comments about your firm which he has made on Usenet. Here is the
relevant Message 33.145

You may get there easily by following this link:
http://al.howardknight.net/msgid.cgi...254.233.145%3E

Here's an extract of what Dustin said:-

When I did a malwarebytes database file update yesterday on a clients
machine, it was 10megabytes in size. This is completely unacceptable
considering what's actually in the file. It's 10 megabytes compressed
at that! Antivirus engines which can scan millions more, use superior
technology; can actually allow the program to think it's running via
emulation (Malwarebytes technology is years away from this; based on
what I know of it's staff) don't need a 10+ meg compressed data file in
order to do it. Malwarebytes isn't as professional under the hood as
you and thousands of others seem to think it is. It has some neat
stuff, but it has alot of **** simple things too. The program sometimes
gets credit it does not deserve. It can't even handle polymorphic
files, even if their trojan based and non viral. You could easily
generate 10,000+ malware programs which would all do the same thing and
be confident, the technology available in v1.x and v2.x wouldn't be
able to detect you in nearly ALL cases. Even if you sent them samples.

=

I've read much about you, Marcin, and your determined efforts to
conquer malware. I feel it unfair that one of your apparently
disgruntled ex-employees should be maligning your product in this way
without you being made aware of it.

Please don't shoot ME - I'm just the messenger! ;-)

With kind regards,

David B.

Actually, you have. You applied for and had your address information
removed from a certain cdrom database collection which is freely

I suspect you had your information removed from it because you'd

My real colors? Oh, you mean my valid and verified as true comments
concerning Malwarebytes, or my attitude towards obnoxious drunks?

Incidently David, Neither the malwarebytes engine or the database
has anything which can do a single thing with an actual virus.
Despite their claims and West coast labs certifications, they do not
scan for, remove, detect, etc any actual viruses. Malwarebytes is
and has always been a trojan scanner. It doesn't have the codebase
or the people to deal with self replicating malware of the viral kind.

And despite their marketing claims, they are NOT a replacement for your antivirus.

You won't win, Dustin! :-D

I wasn't trying to 'win' anything, David.

Btw, I'm not the only person who took Malwarebytes to task,
David.

I know. Thanks fr the links.

The third link contains even more technical detail concerning the
problems with the underlying code, database design, etc.
Everything I warned people about, that you felt necessary to
whine to Marcin to. They reached the same conclusions as
myself via their own independent research. And, unlike myself,
they cut full loose and left nothing hidden. Quite a disection on
the third url. And it ALL AGREES with what I wrote about the
programs problems at the time.

It's NOT funny. :-(

Yes, it is. You and several others dismissed me and all the technical
issues I reported about it being as that of a disgruntled employee
who was telling porkies. I wasn't on either count. You continued to
support the program by posting little email snippits between you and
Marcin. Marcin would lie right to your face, you'd post it to usenet
as if it were the gospel itself. It's damn funny, David. DAMN FUNNY.

Which, I'll take great pleasure now, in reminding you, their research
notes are completely inline (as in support everything) with the
information I provided concerning the software at the time. What you
labeled me as a basher for, previously. What you felt was necessary
to contact Marcin about, what you reported back he called me a troll
for having written.

To quote recent song lyrics by Shinedown, 'Who's the asshole now?'

Asshole the way in which I disclosed some issues with the software on
usenet, sure. But, troll? I think not. I told you then, I'll remind
you again, with pleasure. I discussed these issues with them during
my employment time, multiple times. They ignored me. And, as you can
see by independent confirmation via the third url above, that wasn't
the best thing to do. They paid lip service to anyone who even so
much as inquired about issues, employee or not back then. Initially
paying lipservice to project zero as you can see by the urls, too.

Some of the reported issues have been resolved, but, others, still
(despite being known are problems for years now, David, years now)
still are not fixed; and they don't seem to be in ANY rush to fix
them.

Why haven't you tackled Malwarebytes itself about their misleading
of the general public?

See above. You rode me for it, multiple times. You weren't the only
one to do so, in fairness. Everyone of you who thought I was a
disgruntled former employee just writing bull**** though, got a nice
double heeping of crow; and I got to watch every one of you who
thought that way dine on it, as more and more major news media
outlets picked up on google's project zero disclosure. Leaving none
of you doubters any recourse to what I wrote, then.

Infact, you continued to defend them and share snippits of email
between you and them, bashing me, for things I wrote about the
software that they clearly wished I hadn't. They were in damage
control, and, thought it was no big deal. I was just 'making noise';
that is, until someone? at project zero was curious enough to have a
look for themselves. What did they find under the hood? Exactly what
I wrote they would, right down to the nitty gritty you bashed me for
disclosing about it's internals. And their opinion of it all when
analyzed was? Yes, that's right, a pile of **** that's a security
risk to your system with misleading sales pitches.

I'll remember that forever David. It was vindication for me!

You're no longer
an anonymous person who's able to hit and run.

Dearest Dustin

It is *YOU* who is no longer anonymous and able to hit and run.
:-D

I've made no effort to be anonymous in over two decades David.
Didn't participate in hit and run activities when I was, either.
I was in your face about it, actually.

I have never _really_ tried to hide! ;-)

Actually, you have. You applied for and had your address
information removed from a certain cdrom database collection
which is freely given to locals in your area. I had to go back a
ways to acquire an iso of one that wasn't 'updated' via censoring
efforts you requested.

I suspect you had your information removed from it because you'd
already ****ed off someone else and were concerned they'd figure
out how to get in touch with you to discuss it in greater detail.

Now you are confessing to being a STALKER, Dustin?

I wasn't stalking you David. Is my suspicion correct?

I'm afraid not, Dustin.

THIS, btw, is ALL correct information:
https://vxer.home.blog/2018/12/08/vxer-a-profile/

Actually, it isn't. I went thru your comments previously
demonstrating how they aren't accurate. Remember? I provided a
fresh url to our email correspondence to backup the statements I
wrote, discounting nearly all of the comments you've left on your
blog.

Reply on my Blog to anything you believe isn't correct.

There's no need for me to do so. I provided all of my rebutal here.
You haven't disputed any of it (so far). I'm more than willing to
debate what you claimed on your blog vs what I wrote, if you'd like.

Sure, but over in my workshop group, eh?

I think it's a waste of your time though, because what you've written
on your blog isn't backed up by the email correspondence between us;
which as you know can be found he

http://bughunter.it-mate.co.uk/david.txt

All ties in perfectly, as far as I can see.

It is true that you were employed by Malwarebtes in the early
days; that is why your name is printed for all to see on the
product logo - around 2008.

It's also true that they sought me out with a job offer, that I
didn't apply to work for them, and wasn't even aware they were
hiring.

Agreed.

We agree on something then.

I mean your callous and demeaning responses to folk on Usenet for
twenty years or so.

That depends entirely on the 'folk' and how they responded to me,
doesn't it, David...

Your reputation preceeded you.

The Anontard, as you fefer to her, has publishd dozens of examples
for folk to read. They are on-line for posterity and will be
around to haunt you for ever,

They don't haunt me, David. Most of what they post is a decade or
more old, and/or very misleading. So misleading in fact, they've
written retractions, excusing their ****ups. [g]

That's nice. You realize the Malwarebytes for the Mac is a
rebranded product that Malwarebytes bought right?

I do. They bought the developer to go with it - he's now a
director of the company.

And your point was?

He might find the flaws in the companies modus operandi now that he's an
'insider'!

And HERE is a post I made to Marcin! 12/10/2014

Hi Marcin :-)

You may, or may not, be aware that I have been a long-term
antagonist
of Mr Dustin J Cook from Kingsport, Tennessee. I've even kept a

Then how best to close down a fraudulent operation?

Any ideas?
