I don't get my kicks criticizing others, just trying to learn your reasons
and figure out your methods. You've failed to teach me, for one. And you did receive a reply or two from the OP. -- SC Tom "Unknown" wrote in message ... Have you by chance noticed I never received a response from the original poster? Just some criticism from a responder that gets his kicks from criticizing others. "SC Tom" wrote in message ... I never saw you list MSE or anything else as an option instead of using ZA. All you said was ZA was trash, and continued to expound on that. In light of your posts, I still ask how you were trying to "show/teach them better ways and things"? Certainly not from anything I saw in your posts and replies to this thread. I never said you had any errors, just extreme prejudice against a product you don't personally like. That's not an error, just your opinion, and you are entitled to that. -- SC Tom "Unknown" wrote in message ... I think you have totally misunderstood my posts. The OP had zone alarm and it was causing trouble. I was trying to steer him toward MSE and Windows firewall which I use. The OP was more interested in getting ZA re-installed. Please note, I have a method of teaching. I DO NOT just post answers, I attempt to get posters to think. Please reread the posts and point out my errors. "SC Tom" wrote in message ... And how was it that you were trying to "show/teach them better ways and things"? You had absolutely no suggestions for any kind of replacement for Tony to run instead of ZA. In my first reply, I suggested MSE and Windows Firewall as a viable alternative. Of course, you may not agree with that combination either, but that's OK. What was your suggestion? Oh, wait, I remember; "Why do you want that trash on your system?" Very good! That's a lot of help! I've seen a number of good posts and replies from you in the past, but on this particular one, you came across like a couple of the to-remain-unnamed idiots in the alt.windows7.general group. You may not like ZA or any of the other 3rd party security suites for various reasons, and that's your opinion and you're entitled to it. But I've been running Windows since 3.0 and ZA since it first came out, and have had fewer problems with ZA than with Windows. That doesn't mean I'm going to relegate Windows to the trash heap any more than I would quit using other programs that I like. But if you're going to make broad statements like "that trash," the least you could do is offer a suggestion for an alternative or two. -- SC Tom "Unknown" wrote in message ... Some people are so brainwashed it's impossible to show/teach them better ways and things. "Tony" wrote in message ... "Unknown" wrote in message ... WHY ask for trouble? Don't use it and save yourself all that grief. Common sense. I don't want it, so don't use it for valid reasons. Are you saying I shouldn't talk common sense? Beets don't equate to something that causes problems on a computer. "SC Tom" wrote in message I'm sorry my use of ZAISS seems to have caused you such disquiet. As for causing me grief; how? It has caused me a bit of inconvenience but has also given me the chance to see, again, how kind some people are on this bb; so on balance a good result. Yes, listen to Twayne. The two of you will get along just fine. Use all his
registry cleaners and praise him for pushing them. "SC Tom" wrote in message ... "Twayne" wrote in message ...
