Default Help IRQ 3 being assigned to most hardware ....

try assigning IRQ3 to comm port 1 in bios, and make sure
all other IRQ's are available. this should force windows
to reassign the other settings to new IRQ's.

Err.. I thought hardware IRQs only ranged from 0 to 15 ?

At the bios level, that is correct. At the O/S level it is an entirely
different story!
