Default I don't need no stinking approval.

Greg replied ( to me ):
I'm a fat 60-year-old smoker;
I probably don't have many years left.

Why are you a fat smoker ? No self-discipline ?

I eat and smoke whatever I want.

" You can live to be a hundred if you give up
all the things that make you want to live
to be a hundred. " -- Woody Allen.

No desire for a long, happy and healthy life?

Long, "No". Happy, "Yes".

No self-esteem?

I don't need no stinking approval.

You are a liberal.

So are you, so is everyone.

This is pure insanity and partially due to their
living in cities surrounded by likewise defective thinkers.

You and Ted Kaczynski would get along fine.

Default In the city, you can rent a micro-apartment and order Uber eats.

Checkmate replied ( to me ):
Banks package mortgage loans and sell them to Japan.
When the loans go bad, the banks just laugh.

I don't think that trick still works.

No, it's still going on, same as always;
it's one reason why FDIC insured banks are so safe.

Unregulated "shadow banks" are out in force too,
stronger than ever, chasing yields;
recently, some of them have gone under.

You and Greg belong to the same apocalypse cult, apparently.
You should be neighbors, along with Ted Kaczynski.

It's an example of MGTOW in its purest form.
You disdain others, so why would you live in a shoe box in a city ?

I don't "disdain" everyone; I just don't want to be
_ heavily _ involved in someone's life, that's all.
as long as I can keep some distance, I'm fine.

The room below me was playing music too loud, too long.
I thumped out a message to him using a sledgehammer.
He stopped.

That's your city micro apartment for ya...

90 % of the time it's fine, quiet.
He's in the room below me;
so I can make his life hell, if I wanted to.

I thought you lived in Seattle.

I'm a comfortable distance away from any cities,
I couldn't stand living in one.

I don't have a car ( Amazon works well enough ).
Nor do I have a huge house. Both are _ huge _ advantages.

I just substantially increased my silver holdings, BTW.

Silver isn't very convenient and inflation isn't a big concern.

Default A hot war ?

Checkmate replied ( to me ):

Silver has run up as high as fifty bucks in the past,
and the fundamentals are in place right now.

Triggered by what, a hot war ?

P.S. The room below me is still driving me nuts.

Thumping on the floor no longer works, it just upsets my neighbors.
He punched another hole in the wall,
and he intentionally damaged someone's bike, bending the wheel.

Sadly, I'm going to have to evict him ( for non-payment ).
I have a serious squatter problem too, right now.
Where's the Mafia when you need them ? I want to ring their necks.

I should be looking for another job, one that involves better people.

Default I need a human pest exterminator.

Drill a small hole in the floor, get a cylinder of [ carbon monoxide ]
and when he's asleep fill his bedroom with CO. After about
a week when he starts to rot and stink the CO will have
dissipated and nobody will know what killed the jerk.

I'm tempted.
I need a human pest exterminator, they're worse than bedbugs.

Default Talented vermin.

Checkmate noted:
It took me at least six months to get to the point where
the Sheriff actually physically evicted my sister.
Deadbeats can drag this **** out forever.

I know, they're talented, like that. Talented vermin.

Default Bodies rotting in the summer sun for 5 days.

Checkmate replied ( to Greg ):
[ use carbon monoxide to stealthily kill him ]

You'd never get the rotting corpse smell out.

Boraxo works well. I've had to clean it before, twice;
the bodies were rotting in the summer sun for 5 days.

Jesus Christ, I should switch jobs.

Default The vermin infesting my house would simply break down the door.

Checkmate noted:
It took another 30 days to have the Sheriff remove them, and
they still hadn't left when they got the knock on the door.

What did you do them, change the lock ?

The vermin infesting my house would simply break down the door.

I'll haul her into court every year or two for a Judgment Debtor Exam,
where she'll be deposed by an attorney as to her finances.

What if she doesn't show up, and/or
she doesn't give you any information ?

She's 100 % honest, I assume ( not ).

On my laptops and tablet with W-10 that choice is not given anywhere.
Updates are not a choice anymore. And I have no choice where deleting
the
updates are concerned.
I doubt that there's any simple "enable or disable" feature for a
touch-enabled system. Instead, I believe that it would be necessary for
you to go into the device manager and simply disable the driver
allowing
for the touchscreen to work. Windows won't cripple your hardware's full
potential on its own... on purpose anyway.

I disabled the touch-screens on my PCs. They were of no use to me. The
LT with the cursor that went haywire now works like new. Imagine, those
shop owners thought it was the motherboard and told me to **** can it.

So what you're essentially saying is that your screen was so filthy
(unbeknownst to you, apparently) that it was affecting the movement of
the cursor.

I'm surprised you didn't provide instructions on how
to ruin the screen, using cleaning products :-)

Someone telling you "your screen is dirty", does not
mean applying Drano to the screen, or #50 sandpaper.
The screen is normally quite intolerant of a wide range
of cleaning products. But it's also hard to find good
advice on exactly what is safe to use.

I ignore posts like his. The screen was and is still clean because it wasn't
used. I use a mouse. If I see a spot on the screen I remove it with a damp
cloth. Plain water only.

Brevity snip.
