SP2 & Norton Internet Security
Recently formatted and did clean install of WinXP Pro.
Norton NSW, NAV & NIS 2003 installed and all okay. Installed all critical WinUpdates and after SP2 installed, cannot access Internet or Outlook Express and get message "Cannot find Server" unless turn off Norton Internet Security. Enabled Windows Firewall & able to access IE and OE. Reinstalled NIS but didn't help. Before did clean install, had SP2 and no problem using NIS and had windows firewall off. Have searched Symantec and SP2 links with nil results. Any further ideas as to why NIS now won't work with SP2 would be much appreciated. |

SP2 & Norton Internet Security
Hello fizz,
Did you have the anti-virus on while installing SP2? If so, that's your problem. After a install go to updates FIRST after updates are complete then install your security software. Best of luck to you Ron J "Fizzikal" wrote: Recently formatted and did clean install of WinXP Pro. Norton NSW, NAV & NIS 2003 installed and all okay.
